L'affare Brand Work

Established in Wellington in 1990, L’affare is a specialty coffee brand recognised as a pioneer of New Zealand’s café culture. Operating as a specialty roaster, café operator, and wholesale supplier, L'affare has a nationwide presence. My work with L'affare began as a barista role that evolved into an ongoing freelance design position.

As part of the design and marketing team, I contributed to a range of projects, designing packaging and sales materials, creating social media graphics, and at times researching and writing copy. I also helped roll out the refreshed brand identity, translating the updated guidelines into visual assets and converting over 60 design files into reusable Canva templates.

Through my work with L'affare, I gained hands-on experience collaborating and developing ideas with a team, designing across a variety of formats, and working within brand guidelines and real-world time constraints.
